Trish Tilly loves two things: dogs and making stuff. She lives and works her first love while running All About Paws doggy daycare located in Wheat Ridge.

She celebrates her second love through painting and crafting, and combines her two loves in these charming animal portraits that meld the techniques of primitive, Outsider painting with the chic sensibility and sophisticated color sense of Warhol's The Factory.

These portraits, many of them commissioned pieces, are loving and often humorous renderings of man (and woman's) best friends -- though Trish draws no distinction between dogs and cats -- or any beloved pet. Furry or finned, scaled or feathered; if someone loves an animal, it's a worthy subject for painting.

Each portrait is hand painted in acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas so no frame is needed. Email or bring in your favorite high resolution photo. Trish will crop the image for the best composition and email it back for approval and your choice of background color. Finished painting image is emailed to you for approval and any changes. Turnaround time is usually one week. Prices vary depending on size and number of subjects. 12”x12” canvas starts at $50 and is recommended for 1 subject only. Come by the shop to see more samples.
